Role:
The responsibilities are detailed as below:
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance procedures and processes to ensure product/service quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly evaluate product functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing, as appropriate.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using appropriate bug-tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to ensure alignment on quality objectives and timelines.
- Participate in requirements review sessions and provide input on testability, usability, and quality aspects of the product/service.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate quality metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in quality assurance and actively contribute to enhancing QA processes within the organization.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including test plans, test cases, and quality assurance reports.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working in quality assurance roles, preferably in [industry or sector].
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, HP ALM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Quality assurance certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
